Submission Guidelines

All submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of five (5) printed pages (10-point font) including figures without incurring additional page charges (maximum 1 additional page with overlength page charge if accepted). Note that the maximum number of pages for a paper is 6; 5 pages plus 1 additional page allowed with a charge for the one additional page of USD100 if accepted. Papers exceeding 6 pages will not be reviewed at all.

Only novel, previously unpublished papers in the area of OWC systems will be accepted. Prospective authors are encouraged to submit an IEEE conference style paper (including all text, figures, and references) through EDAS submission system (http://edas.info//N10865). Papers selected for presentation will be published together with IEEE GLOBECOM 2011 proceedings and available on the IEEE Xplore database.

Standard IEEE Transactions templates for Microsoft Word or LaTeX formats can be found at Templates. Sample instructions are found here. Only PDF files are accepted for paper review and they must be submitted through EDAS to the Globecom Symposium most appropriate to the topic

An accepted paper must be registered before the registration deadline. An accepted paper must be presented at the workshop. Failure to register before the deadline will result in automatic withdrawal of the paper from the workshop proceedings and the program. All accepted and presented papers will be included in the IEEE GLOBECOM proceedings and IEEE digital library. GLOBECOM has the right to remove an accepted and registered but not presented paper from the IEEE digital library.
