Module 3: Case Study Section

The aim of this case study section is to reinforce material taught in Module 3: Control Systems For Complex Processes. We start with three worked examples on developing control systems for complex processes using the hierarchical method. These are presented in order of difficulty. This is followed by three exercises. The first is an interactive exercise on building up a control system. Choices are made along the way and helpful hints and tips are given to help the user. The second is an exercise on the control of distillation columns. The third is an exercise on heat exchanger networks.
