What is EIT?
South Hall - Conference venue
The conference will take place at the spacious and contemporary South Hall Complex, which floods with natural light during the day. It is situated at the base of the impressive Arthur's Seat, one of Edinburgh's most famous landmarks and a local favourite for hiking and outdoor exercise. The area offers easy access to Edinburgh's historic centre.

If you have booked a package with accommodation, your room will be located in Chancellors Court . Situated within Pollock Halls, giving easy (3 minute walk) access to the conference venue, and only a 25 minute walk to the conference dinner. Check in from 14:00 on Sunday 10th and Checkout 10:30 on Wednesday 13th. Free parking is available at the Pollock halls of residence, although spaces are limited.
Trip to James Clerk Maxwell's House Museum
On Monday evening, there will be a optional field trip to the house where famous scientist James Clerk Maxwell was born. In 1993 the Foundation acquired James Clerk Maxwell's birthplace in Edinburgh. This elegant Georgian house, after period restoration, displays a growing collection of heritage material associated with James Clerk Maxwell, his associates and family circle. The EIT 2018 conference dinner will take place in Edinburgh University's Teviot Row House Debating Hall on Tuesday the 12th June 2018, with live entertainment and a whisky tasting session, a perfect place to network.
