Section 3.2.1: Ordering Equations - Initial Examples
The sets of equations given below can all be solved directly
after suitable reordering and rearrangement.
For each set of equations:
- Identify the unknowns and confirm that there are as many
of these as equations.
- Draw up an incidence table.
- Order the equations for solution and confirm that the
new incidence table is lower triangular.
- Rearrange the equations to calculate appropriate
output variables and rewrite them in precedence order.
